Our goals for internal audit

The internal auditing function is an independent and objective assurance and advisory activity designed to add value and improve the Organization's operations. To carry out OIOS’ mandate for audit (A/RES/48/218 B), the Internal Audit Division helps the Organization to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to assess and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes.
